Once again, our annual survey of several dozen local music observers produced a wide variety of answers and scant consensus to the question: What were your favorite albums, songs and/or moments in music in 2007? However, a few names appeared more than others: Amy Winehouse, Kanye West, Arcade Fire, Mavis Staples, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, the White Stripes, Radiohead and Battles, for their recorded music; and the Flaming Lips, for their mind-blowing show at the Uptown Theater.
