More than 250,000 sparkling holiday lights make the Idaho Botanical Gardens glow with holiday splendor. The lights are expertly placed about the gardens, illuminating the grounds at every turn. The artistically strewn display can be seen for miles from the right vantage points. Even the lights of downtown Boise can be seen from the upper garden.

This spectacle has been open since the start of the holiday season, but what makes this day even more special is the appearance of Santa and one of his reindeer. Entertainment is provided by the East Jr. High Mad Jazz Choir singing holiday favorites throughout the garden. Cocoa, cider and cookies are available for a small donation. And to keep everyone warm and cozy, fire barrels will be set up to heat cold faces and fingers.
