Domingo Guerra , the indefatigable Hartford promoter, in 2007 struck yet another blow for jazz with his ambitious Hartford International Jazz Festival. With its widespread reach into clubs, restaurants and other venues across the city, the festival transformed Hartford into a European-like, urban and urbane jazz fest on Columbus Day Weekend. Promoter Kevin McCabe , owner of JumpStart Jazz Productions, retained his title as the region’s great champion of contemporary jazz.
