‘Journey to the Center of the Earth,’ ‘Donna Reed Show’

This Peter Pan prequel is the vanguard of Disney’s plan to get in on the Webkinz action. Tinker Bell speaks on screen for the first time in the direct-to-DVD computer animated film set in Pixie Hollow. That’s where the Disney Fairies live, deep in the heart of Never Land. Tinker Bell’s first days as a newbie fairy are a disappointing time. She’s dissatisfied with her particular fairy talent, because it doesn’t let her go to the mainland like other fairies.

Disaster follows until she learns to stay true to herself. The all-star voice cast includes America Ferrera, Kristin Chenoweth, Anjelica Huston, Kathy Najimy, Raven-Symone and Lucy Liu. G, 78 minutes. DVD extras include featurettes and deleted scenes. This is the first in a series of planned films about the Disney Fairies. The Blu-ray disc lets users play the Tinker Trainer Game, where you can accrue Movie Reward Points through a BD-Live Network membership.
