Pops gives uneven performance of ‘Holidays Around the World’

When Mrs. Claus gave up on Europe and decided it was time to look for Santa in Pittsburgh, the show offered new lyrics for an old chestnut. “The 12 Days of Christmas N’at” had a premise with potential, but apart from “Five Superbowl Rings,” it fell flat. This was partly because most of the words were not clearly enunciated. The more serious flaw was the choice of words for the first day — “the world-class PSO” — quickly became tacky as it was repeated again and again.

Bernhardt was smart to abbreviate the song.
