Nissan LIVE Sets on Yahoo! Music Celebrates One Year Anniversary With Star- Studded LA Party

The GT-R is a multi-dimensional performance machine that lives up to the concept of an ultimate supercar for anyone, anytime, anywhere. This everyday supercar was developed to the highest standards and uses an all-new Premium Midship package, which enables the use of the world’s first production application of an independent rear transaxle ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system.

Under the hood, the Nissan GT-R features an all-new 3.8-liter twin turbo V6 producing an estimated 480 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. The engine is backed by an all-new, paddle-shifted GR6 sequential 6-speed dual clutch rear transaxle, with a Borg Warner six-plate dual clutch. The transaxle’s layout places the transmission, transfer case and final drive at the rear of the vehicle, which enables vehicle weight to be evenly distributed throughout the car.

The GT-R will be available for sale for the first time ever in the United States beginning in June 2008.
