4:50 p.m. Oct. 20 — The DanzJazz Dance Studio & Entertainment Company will hold its eighth annual dance concert on Saturday, Oct. 20, at the GATE Theatre, Tiyan. There will be a 2 p.m. and a 7:30 p.m. show, and tickets are $10 per adult and $7 per child age 12 younger.

The concert’s theme this year is “The Musical” featuring the latest work of the company’s dance students this year, with dances that are inspired from various Broadway shows and musicals (such as Chorus Line, Chicago, Hairspray, Mamma Mia, and more) from the company’s New York trip. Also to be presented will be some of the dance pieces that won awards during their 2007 New York trip competition/convention.

The choreography of their teacher assistants from its Senior Company will be presented to the public for the first time as part of their training with the DanzJazz Dance program.
