The Mortal Reign Reunion/Kurt Halupnick Memorial Show is at 9 tonight at the Beaumont Club, 4050 Pennsylvania, in Westport. Halpnick, who died in July, was founder and front man of Mortal Reign, which began pounding out its metal messages on the local music scene in 1986, recalled concert promoter Jim Kilroy. It didn t take much time for songs like Capital Punishment and Bring Out Your Dead to become ingrained in the memories of (fans), Kilroy said. Mortal Reign disbanded in 2002.
