The venue will serve authentic Latin American food, drinks from across Southern and Central America, and nights of Latin dance and live music. Mr Carrasco also wants El Rincon to be a place for language enthusiasts to visit to practice Spanish, as there will also be at least one member of staff on duty who speaks Spanish.
The former director of the city’s annual Brouhaha international street theatre calendar, he said Liverpool and the surrounding areas now have one of the biggest Latin American communities in the UK. He said the Latin American community had grown largely due to the arrival of people from Bolivia, Colombia, Brazil and Peru in the past three years.
