Pop along for a book and a look
Camden and Narellan libraries are offering a packed program of school holiday activities. From movies to music to arts and crafts, there’s something on the calendar for everyone including: Free music workshops for those aged 18 months to seven years at Camden Library conducted by the Macarthur Conservatorium of Music on the Mondays and Tuesdays of January 7, 8, 14 and 15. There will be three sessions a day for the different age groups.
Movies `n’ munchies is back with the 10am screening of The Incredibles on Thursday, January 10, at Narellan Library. Cost: $3. Learn cartooning with Toasted TV host and cartoonist Dave on Wednesday, January 16, at Narellan Library. Two one-hour sessions 10am for five- to eight-year-olds and noon for 9- to 15-year-olds. Cost is $3. Create a calendar at Camden Library 10am-noon, Thursday, January 17. Cost is $2.50.
Author Sue Whiting will present a special Superhero writing workshop for eight- 12-year-olds, 10.30-11.30, Friday, January 18. Cost is $3. Reggae, rap and calypso 11am-noon, Monday, January 21, with Paul Jamieson at Narellan Library. Tickets are $4. For all ages. The Reading Club Party will be 10-noon January 23 at Narellan Library. It’s a free party for members of the summer reading club, Superhero Summer. Ask at your local library how to become a Superhero Summer member.
