The show started at 9pm when the Blood Red Shoes appeared on stage - Laura-Mary Carter, vocals and guitar and Steven Ansell, vocals and drums. It has been a very long time since i have ever heard such a great band doing the warm up for another band. Carter and Ansell who use a similar setup like the White Stripes played some powerful set which several times reminded me of bands like the Gang of Four or The Clash.

Their post-punk style mixed with other musical influences from the last 2.5 decades makes up for some hell of a concert experience. The people around me were jumping around most of the time even though i had chosen some place which was more like in the back of the venue to have some better overview. Steven Ansell is some hell of a drummer who manages to sing along all the time without affecting his precise drumming.
