“These theaters take up a lot of real estate space. They have a lot of employees. … Theaters have been trying to find different ways to attract audiences and compete with home theater and Netflix and that whole movement,” explained Cynthia Baron, an associate professor in the Department of Theatre and Film at Bowling Green State University.
