The show chooses its musical guests with care, and the guests on Saturday, during which two shows were taped, drew on Portland’s rich music scene. Husband and wife team Kevin and Anita Robinson, a.k.a. Viva Voce , looked subdued on the stage, holding guitars and sitting quietly. But their song “Believer” has a brooding, rhythmic darkness that concentrated the couple’s power as musicians.

Anita is an evocative, intense guitar player, while Kevin did yeoman’s work with guitar, harmonica and bass drum.
