A Dance-A-Thon at Marion Diehl Recreation Center next month will help raise money for therapeutic recreation programs. The event on Jan. 26 will feature a DJ and recorded music. Attendees may dance when and as they wish, or they may participate in continuous dancing with two breaks scheduled at designated times. Dance time runs 5 p.m.-9:30 p.m., and registration for dance contestants opens on site at 4 p.m. Admission charge is $20 for couples, $15 for singles.

Awards will be presented to contestants still on their feet at the end. Money will help fund the spring break trip for members of the Young Adult Day Program at Marion Diehl, for people 18-35 with disabilities. The program focuses on daily life skills and community service. The center is at 2219 Tyvola Road.
