A HIP HOP dance group is among the winners of new council awards recognising youth achievements in Hobsons Bay. The council’s youth voice committee has named local youth Danny Alsabbagh and the Hip Hop Dance Alliance as the winners of its first two arts, cultural diversity and music awards. Hobsons Bay mayor Leigh Hardinge congratulated and thanked the winners.

“Young people get involved in the community in many ways … either contributing through the arts, environmental initiatives, sport, recreation, or by creating opportunities for other young people to get involved,” he said.
