In 2002, the Wrights married and moved from Georgia to the country music capital, Nashville.

“We were amazed at the caliber of talent in Nashville ,” said Shannon Wright Wright, the other half of the musical duo. “On any given night of the week, in several different places, there are bands and musicians that will knock your socks off.” The Wrights matched up with that talent, landing them on the Grand Ole Opry stage as an opener for country music icon Loretta Lynn.”It was a huge moment in their musical career, Shannon Wright Wright said.

“The first dozen times it’s scary, but then exciting,” Adam Wright Wright said. “It’s good for your family to see what you’re doing. When you’re on the Grande Ole Opry stage, that says something.” “I had to keep myself from passing out,” Shannon Wright Wright said, “but it gets easier the more you do it. It’s still a huge treat.” With each performance, the Wrights found their sound - a blend of country and folk music. It is “different from anything else out there,” Shannon Wright Wright said.

“It’s a little different than mainstream, but that’s what we like about it.” “It’s just the two of us, so it’s not big or loud,” Adam Wright said. “It’s not what you’d normally hear on the radio.” What describes their sound, the pair said, is “a Lincoln Town car on a country road.” Songwriter and producer Paul Kennerley - who has worked with Ray Charles, Marty Stuart, The Judds and Waylon Jennings - helped develop the Wright’s sound, they said.
