Meteorologist Jon Laufman from 19 Action News will serve as guest auctioneer. Blessing House will honor the following foundations that have been instrumental in the group s success: Alyce J. and Ann J. Metka Foundation, Community Foundation of Lorain County, Nord Family Foundation and Stocker Foundation Cocktails and hors d oeuvres start at 6 p.m., dinner served at 7:30 p.m. Black tie is optional.

More than 300 people are expected to attend this event, a major fundraiser to support Blessing House, a children s crisis care center in Lorain County. Last year, the fundraiser raised more than $48,000. Blessing House cares for children up to 12 years old whose families are dealing with an emergency and have no safe place for them to stay. It is a nondenominational faith based program that provides care for children and assistance to families from Lorain County.
