There is more music tonight when a Michigan band devoted to Irish, Scottish and Celtic-American sounds plays Chaucer’s at 7:30 p.m. “My kids are a big part of the band,” says head Wren Jim Perkins, who leads the Detroit-area ensemble along with his wife, Cheryl Burns. Their daughters, Asher and Alison, are also active in the six-member Wren. When things started, the parents set the pace. “Now, we follow their lead,” Perkins says.
