He’s one of the biggest names on the Quebec music scene, and now Jonas is set to spread his wings and try to become one of the biggest names in Canada and beyond. Bringing together old-school hard rock and roll, with a contemporary vibe and production qualities, Jonas will be bringing his no-holds-barred, high-energy show to The Foundation in Barrie, on Wednesday, Dec. 12, on a bill with former Rockstar INXS finalist Suzie McNeil.

Although an Anglophone, Jonas’s first two albums in Quebec, a self-titled debut in 2004, and Suite Life , released last year, have bridged the language barrier, making him arguably the biggest player in the Quebec pop scene. Recently signed to Warner Music Canada, the label issued the album Promised Land , which contains the best tracks from his first two CDs, which is being back up by a cross-Canada tour.

Jonas has already worked with a number of music industry heavyweights, including noted songwriter/producer Desmond Child (Aerosmith, Bon Jovi) and John Webster, who has worked with the likes of The Cult and Motley Crue, as well as Aerosmith, and also toured as the opening act for Van Halen back in 2004. In February of this year, indicative of his status in Quebec, Jonas headlined at the 20,000-plus seat Bell Centre in Montreal.
