Hollywood publicity blitz kicks off in Rock Capital
The movie, “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story” is a comedy about a fake rock and roll icon, which covers his fifty year career. “Yeah, it’s alright,” Reilly said as he walked the red carpet before the show, never breaking character. “That John C. Reilly did okay. I’m a little bit better lookin’ though, don’t you think? Ha, ha.
Have a good night, man!” “John Reilly’s performance distills the essence of Dewey Cox so perfectly, it’s uncanny,” says director and co-writer Jake Kasden, who walked down the red carpet after Reilly. “I think he should win an Academy Award and I think he probably will.” Reilly played songs from the movie to an invitation-only crowd at the Rock Hall, songs which covered almost the complete history of rock and roll. “Walk Hard” opens December 21st.
