Winter Concert to be performed at college
A Winter Concert will be performed by the Raritan Valley Community College Chorale on Friday. Formerly known as the Central Jersey Master Chorale, the group is made up of both Raritan Valley Community College students and community members. The chorale is directed by Dr. John Sichel of Mountainside. The program will feature a variety of traditional Christmas music, as well as “Serenity” by Charles Ives and Mass in G Major by Franz Schubert.
Joy Hermalyn, soprano soloist, will be featured in the Schubert Mass. Hermalyn recently performed in the Broadway revival of “Fiddler on the Roof” for a year. The concert will be presented in the Welpe Theatre of the college, located on Route 28 and Lamington Road in the North Branch section of Branchburg. Admission is $12, or $10 in advance.
