The stars show class

It was indeed the biggest, brightest and one of the best organized musical event of the year. In Lagos the show kicked off with Mode 9, as the curtain raiser on the big stage. The ace rapper proved his worth with some quick take on rap marched with captivating stage craft which in no small way dazzled the fans. His Naija girls tunes gave him a quick break into the hearts of the audience who were easily spurred into dancing and sing along session with the artiste.

He was succeeded on stage by the sensational female Afro-hip-hop queen, Sola Idowu, a.k.a Weird MC. She was not just weird with her acts but wild with her well choreographed dance steps and dancers. Her top hit, Ijoya almost tore the fans apart as they went into frenzied and crazy dance session, rocking their waists like a boat on the high sea in the process.

She handed the microphone over to the Kolo-mental act, Faze, who fully charged the atmosphere with the majority of the audience developing self induced kolo-mental case. They all danced like mad and as if possessed by the holy spirit as long as the music lasted. The crazy Kolo-mental atmosphere soon paved way for people to feel the Koko as Faze dropped the microphone for the Koko Master, D Banj who stormed the big stage with his producer Don Jazzy.

The crowd danced rhythmically to the beat, throwing their fingers into space and grabbing nothing until D banj took a bow for the money mongers and maiden winners of the Star Quest music talent hunt, KC Presh. The group actually proved to the enthusiastic fans that they have come a long way with the Star Mega Jam.
