Latin sounds fill MHS auditorium as part of concert series

Coos County - The fiery beats of Latin music could be heard coming from the Marshfield High School Auditorium Tuesday night as part of the 2007/2008 Coos County Community Concert Association concert series. Viviana and DIVAS Latinas hit the stage to perform their latest work in front of a packed house. The San Francisco based group stopped in Coos Bay as part of a concert tour up the West Coast.

Described as a group of, “passionate and powerful artists,” by the New York Times, their music brings together a series of different Latin cultures and sounds including Chilean and Brazilian. Other concerts lined up for the season include the Jeni Fleming Acoustic Trio and the Poulenc Trio later on this year.
