Email to a friend Printer friendly Font: * * * * Vancouver headliners for the winter series announced Friday include Mother Mother and Save the Whale (Feb. 22, Performance Works), singer-songwriter Kevin House and Inhabitants (Feb. 23, Performance Works) and pianist Lisa Miller and her octet (March 14, Western Front). Coastal also announced two spring shows involving Vancouver acts.

Talking Pictures and the Unexpected perform April 25 at the Ironworks, and John Korsrud’s 17-piece Hard Rubber Orchestra plays the Vancouver East Cultural Centre on May 11. These shows join a roster of already announced Coastal concerts, including saxophonist Ornette Coleman (Feb. 17, Chan Centre), the 13-member Spanish Harlem Orchestra (Feb. 15, Commodore), pianist Dave Brubeck (June 23, Orpheum), Toronto vocalist Kiran Ahluwalia (Feb.

23, Christ Church Cathedral) and the Time Flies Improvised Music Festival (Feb. 7-9, Ironworks). Tickets for all concerts are on sale now at Coastal and Ticketmaster.
