Children’s Choirs To Help Present Concert Opera
SIOUX FALLS — The Yankton Children’s Choir, Freeman area Children’s Choir, The Singing Boys of Sioux Falls and the Sioux Falls Girls Chorale will join with the South Dakota Symphony and South Dakota Symphony Chorus and a local theater company (Ephemeral Productions) to present a Concert Opera performance of Puccini’s Tosca. The concert will take place at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in the Great Hall at the Washington Pavilion.
The performance will be presented as a semi-staged opera with costuming, acting and professional vocalists. English supertitles will be projected for the audience. “The Yankton Children’s Choir is so excited to perform iTosca’ with the South Dakota Symphony. The choir has worked hard in preparation for the performance, and they will be rewarded with a professional and memorable experience,” said Rachel Moser, Associate Director for the Yankton Children’s Choir.
