Smith has made classical music recordings with Gavle Symfoniorkester and with Stuttgart Philharmonic. Both of these premiere recordings are heard frequently on classical music stations throughout the United States. The international festival Elysium: Between Two Continents chose Smith as musical director and showcased him in performances both here and in Germany.
